Deserves to be, and surely will be, widely read

Peter L. Bernstein, a name that everyone should know.

Although I've read more books in my life than you can imagine, I'm not easily impressed by what most authors write in form nor meaning. I don't like to read novels, a genre with its historical roots both in the field of the medieval and modern romance. it's not the epic totality of life -as interpreted by the author- that bothers me; but it's the romanticized emphasis on fiction, a concept so far removed from its dualist: reality.

When I was in the bookstore today, I couldn't allow myself to not buy the special edition of Peter L. Bernstein's Classics (even though I already own the regular editions). Bernstein's works are not only ambitious, readable, informative, full of wisdom, challenging -so challenging in fact that it may change forever the way people think about their world-, but moreover his works are extraordinarily entertaining and written with such charm and excitement. it is within my excitement that I speak carefully: no one should miss it.
