There will be singing

"What is it about art anyway, that we give it so much importance? Artists are respected by the poor, because what they do is an honest way to get out of the slum using one's sheer self as the medium. The money earned is proof pure and simple of the value of that individual... the artist. The picture a mother's son does in jail hangs on her wall is proof that beauty is possible even in the most wretched. And this is a much different idea than the fancier notion that art is a scam and a ripoff. But you could never explain to someone who uses God's gift to enslave that you have used God's gift to be free."

-Basquiat (1994).

Ka'Ching x Bushido

Albert Heijn is a supermarket chain founded in 1887 by the man Albert Heijn himself. Now, more than a century later, Albert Heijn has the largest economic market share in the Netherlands. Yet the road to profit and success is a bumpy one. In the world today it is dangerous to seem too power hungry, to be overt with power moves. We have to seem fair and decent. So we need to be subtle, congenial yet cunning, democratic yet devious. Learning the game of power requires a certain way of looking at the world, a shifting of perspective. It takes effort and practice, for much of the game may not come naturally. Certain basic skills are required, and once you master these skills you will be able to apply the laws of power more easily. Albert Heijn understood the game. He played it and now the infamous AH logo is portrayed on more than a thousand stores throughout the country. In order for AH to keep its power position, new incentives ought to be implemented to keep things fresh and innovative. So what does AH do? They hire us to promote AH latest market stunt; Ka'Ching.
