Bikram Yoga

I thought i would stay home today and prepare for my exams, but i guess i was wrong :).
i was in the kitchen pouring coffee beans in my Starbucks cup while talking with E. he was about to go out. he asked me if i wanna come with him to Yoga class. i was like ''we're gonna do it?! let's do it!"

I've done Yoga before, but this type of Yoga -Bikram Yoga- is crazy. all the exercises are performed in a heated room: a room so hot, it makes Dante's circles of Hell seem like a summer breeze. but after the class, i truly felt reborn!

Before we went home, we went to a Surinam/Chinese toko nearby and enriched our body with oriental products. now i have to do what i do best: getting results.. wish me luck for my exams.

Or actually, don't wish me luck (i don't need it); wish me love ;)

The Mystery Method @ Sugar Factory

Last night E., J. and me went out clubbing. initially we supposed to go to the cinema, Watchmen, but things changed and we went to Sugar Factory :). before we went out, E. and me each took six shots Tequila and we were ready to go :P

The music at Sugar Factory was really good. amazing actually. i didn't dance much there though, i was too busy applying the lessons i learned from a very wise man.. this man goes by the name of Erik Von Markovik aka Mystery. I read his book 'The Mystery Method' and let me tell you... last night it paid off!!!

TWICE!!! ;)

There is this one particular pick-up skill from the book that i used many times already before, but last night it went perfectly flawless. thanks Mystery!

It's a fact: all girls love magic ;)

27 Feb '09: Impossible is nothing!

27 February 2009, a legendary day.

A couple of months ago, G. and me made a plan. last Friday we made it happen ;)
At 15.00 my phone alarm went off and i was looking at the display: 27 Feb '09: "Casino+€500+xxx+3*red=Impossible is nothing!"

We went to Zandvoort, dresscode: fresher than everyone else

2 x Dimple Blended Scotch Whisky on the rocks

It was about to happen..
The game: Roulette, the bet: €1000 all-in on black. The gameplan: after the ball would fall 3 times in a row on red, we would place a €1000 bet -in 2 bills of €500- on black.

We were sitting on a sofa with a drink in our hands and kept an eye on a particular table...

1 time red...

We looked at eachother nervously...

2 times red...

Is it going to happen?

3 times red...

...It is going to happen...

Without any sign of hesitation, we walked to the table and placed our bet: all-in on black.

The croupier span the wheel, then he span the ball in the opposite direction around the tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel... Tension was rising, because within a couple of minutes we would win it all.. or lose it all... "No more bets", the croupier said... There was no way back... The ball eventually was losing momentum and fell on to the wheel and into one of the 37 colored and numbered pockets on the wheel...

BLACK!!!

We fucking did it!!! we were shouting it out and jumped in the air!!! all the people in the casino were looking at us.

They were looking at winners ;)

We drank a Vodka-Malibu to celebrate it

We cashed out, left the casino, and had an afterparty at Club Jade

We talked about this day for months and now we finally did it. it wasn't only about the money; it was about making a plan and making the plan happen. it was a matter of determination and luck. for me, luck is what happens when commitment meets opportunity. that is exactly what happened and that is why i must always take chances and extreme risks. one of the greatest things in life is sensation. without it, life is simply monotone. or like the Irish poet and novelist Oscar Wilde would say: "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."

So in the end, don't take life too seriously, because you will never get out of it alive ;)

With love,

A.
